Gestalt Therapy Counsellor

Since 2016, Rohan has worked as a counsellor with people from a diverse variety of backgrounds who have brought issues such as anxiety, depression, loneliness, anger management, loss and bereavement, traumatic experiences, work issues, low self-esteem, relationship problems, family issues and many more.

Rohan particularly specialises in working with:

  • Loss and Bereavement
  • Trauma
  • Anxiety and Depression

Rohan works with clients to help them positively transform their lives through developing their self-awareness and capacity to act effectively in the world. He strongly believes that we all have deep within us the ability to cope and respond to any challenge or difficulty we face in our lives.

Rohan is trained as a Gestalt Therapy Counsellor and uses elements of Mindfulness, Jungian and Transactional Analysis in his approach. He works in a holistic manner to help clients become more aware of their own body, mind and senses, helping them to develop their understanding of themselves and their life situation so that they can respond to situations in their life in new creative ways that are more satisfying.

In addition to working in private practice, Rohan also works as a counsellor in an NHS GP surgery and with the cancer bereavement charity, The Loss Foundation. He has worked in the charity sector for over a decade with charities such as SANDS (The Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society), Livability, Restless Development and VSO.

Rohan believes that it is important to find the right counsellor for you, who will give you enough support and also enough healthy challenge, to help you get the most from the sessions. If you are interested in starting counselling the next step would be to get in contact to arrange an initial introductory session. An introductory session gives you the opportunity to see how you find working together and can help you identify what you are hoping to get out of the counselling sessions.

Sessions are 50 minutes long and take place on a weekly basis.
