What is EFT?

EFT is a tool that can be used during a talk therapy with a practitioner or can be a useful self-help tool. It was developed by Gary Craig in the USA and is a leading technique referred to as ‘Energy Psychology’ and has been developed from the ancient Chinese Meridian energy system. It’s a form of emotional acupuncture without the use of needles and is based on the premise that all negative emotions are a result of disruption in the body’s energy system.

How Does it Work?

It works by clearing blockages or disruption by tapping on the body’s energy meridians (while thinking about a specific issue). The tapping sends pulses of energy to rebalance the body’s energy system in relation to the specific issue you were thinking about. What this does is to re-route the brain’s negative response and shifts the energy. EFT also works towards helping you release limiting beliefs that stifle your health and happiness.

Behind 85% of illness there is some unresolved negative emotion or trauma that can be a major contributor to physical pain and disease but you can apply it to anything. Norah is passionate about EFT as it often works when nothing else will. It can be used to address emotional, physical and spiritual issues and can be useful in helping you to overcome those blocks that may be in the way of you having a life you love.

The number of sessions required depends on the complexity of the issue and each session is carried out in a gentle and caring way. You can also learn to do it for yourself so it’s a great way to manage negative beliefs & behaviours;
