Jessica Kanerva Nutrition at Feel Good Balham

Nutritional Therapist

Jessica is a fully qualified and insured Nutritional Therapist, registered with the
Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and the British
Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT).

She has a BSc in Nutritional Therapy from University of West London (UWL) and a
level 6 Diploma from the British College of Nutrition and Health (BCNH). In
addition, Jessica also has a BA (Hons) in Psychology from Kristianstad University
and an Advanced Diploma in Eating Disorders, awarded by the National Centre for
Eating Disorders (NCFED) approved by The British Psychological Society (BPS).

Jessica has a special interest in digestive health, stress management, cognitive
and mental wellbeing and the fundamental links between our physical and
emotional health. She focuses not only on nutrition and food, but also includes
lifestyle interventions in her work to help support wellbeing and quality of life.

With a background in hospitality prior to training in Nutrition and Psychology,
Jessica aims to combine her love for great tasting food with nutrition and wellbeing
interventions to help people find joy in eating nutritious and delicious food.

Jessica’s work is based on the functional medicine approach developed by the
Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), where instead of treating symptoms, the
aim is to find the root cause or causes as to why a person is feeling how they feel.

Jessica’s advice and approach is based on each individual and working closely
alongside each client is key- listening to each person’s story and implementing
changes in stages to support sustainable and positive change.

It is Jessica’s strongest belief that nutrition and health should not have to be
complicated and that there needs to be a sense of enjoyment as part of every
nutrition and lifestyle program.

There are so many aspects of one’s life which need to be looked at in order to truly
feel well and nutrition can be a key part, but by far the only one, and Jessica’s
scientific approach integrates both lifestyle and nutrition to support individuals on
their wellness journey.
